Chronos Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Chronos (“the App”), published by Peter Rakké (MyndSpace / Smartatit) (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the iOS app.

Summary

Chronos is designed so that core gameplay can work on your device and on your local network. We do not sell personal data. We do not run marketing analytics SDKs. Free Solo may show limited Google AdMob interstitials (see below); Party guests, Classroom students, homework play, and Unlock buyers never see ads.

Advertising (free Solo only)

On the free consumer Solo path, Chronos may show short full‑screen ads from Google AdMob before a list session or before starting table AR. Ads are configured as child‑directed / under age of consent (non‑personalized). We do not prompt for App Tracking Transparency for ads. Unlock Chronos removes ads and the free daily Solo limits. Classroom, homework Solo, and Party join never show ads. Ad requests are not used for Classroom or student features.

In‑app purchases

Chronos includes optional one‑time in‑app purchases processed by Apple (for example Unlock Chronos and Classroom Teacher). Payment is handled by Apple under your Apple ID; we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Purchases can be restored on other devices signed into the same Apple ID via Restore purchases in Settings (useful for teachers who host Classroom on a phone and an iPad). Students joining a Classroom session are never asked to buy anything. A small trial flag for the free Classroom teacher wave may be stored in the device Keychain so it survives app reinstall; it is not used for advertising. Soft free Solo play counters (list / AR sessions per day) may be stored in UserDefaults with a clock watermark to limit abuse; they are not shared with advertisers beyond what AdMob requires to serve an interstitial.

Information the App may access

Optional connection to a MyndSpace server

If you pair the App with a MyndSpace server you control (or that your organization operates), the App may send gameplay-related requests and store a device credential in the iOS Keychain so you can reconnect. Data processed by that server is governed by the server operator’s practices and any agreement you have with them.

Data stored on your device

The App may store preferences, session state, custom decks, and pairing credentials locally on your device (including the Keychain for credentials). You can remove this data by deleting the App or clearing relevant settings/credentials.

Feedback

If you send feedback by email, the content of that message (and your email address) is received by us so we can respond. We use it only to handle your feedback.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only: (a) with your consent; (b) with service providers needed to operate email or hosting; (c) when required by law; or (d) when you choose features that share content with other players or a server you connect to.

Children

Classroom and educational use may involve minors under adult/teacher supervision. The App is not intended to collect personal information from children for advertising. Teachers and schools remain responsible for classroom policies and parental consent where required.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke Camera, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Photos, and Local Network permission in iOS Settings. Some features will not work without the related permission.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
